5 Places to Enjoy in Miami this Summer that will Give You More Balance
“Balance isn’t fitting everything in. It’s starting with what’s important and letting everything else fall as it will.”
-Erica Layne
Needing balance usually stems from something being out of place.
Often, life gets busy, and we are pushed out of place lacking the balance due to all the things we think we should do or wish we could do. Losing balance, though, isn’t a permanent thing. It can be restored at any time by doing various activities. The key is finding the things in life that feel like your balance is restored. Typically, these things come from fulfillment and recharge in our relationships, overall health and well-being, and spiritual connections. Below are 5 different places in Miami you can venture this summer to give you more balance.
Sunrise and Sunset Yoga on 3rd Street in South Beach
Being in, near, or by the ocean can do wonders for your mental health. Yoga can help us to restore balance in our bodies through the guided mediation and flow sequences where we practice breathwork. From March to November, you can enjoy Sunrise Yoga at 7:00 AM and Sunset Yoga at 6:00 PM by the 3rd Street lifeguard tower in South Beach. The teachers here accept donations so you have the option of paying as much as you can, whether it’s $5 or more.

Full Moon Drum Circle (Every Month) and Sound Healing (Every Saturday)
Sound healing is said to work wonders in restoring balance, promoting healing, improving mood, and providing a connection with our spiritual selves. On the beach, by 80th Street at Lifeguard Stand 7901, you can participate in the monthly drum circle during the full moon once a month as well as Yoga and Sound Healing available once a week.

Lapis Spa at Fountainbleu
Sometimes, we need to pamper ourselves. The Lapis Spa at Fountainbleu is the perfect place to do exactly this. You can book many different body treatments, such as standard and ritual massages, facials, and body wraps. The best part of the experience, aside from the services themselves, however, is the amenities. You can spend the time waiting for your services (or after your services) enjoying the co-ed mineral pool and rain room and other non-co-ed eucalyptus steam rooms, hammam baths, and deluge showers.

Kayaking, Canoeing, Paddle Boarding, Bike Riding, or Walking in Oleta River State Park
Oleta River State Park is the perfect place to spend time in nature. There are multiple reasons to love this park – you can bike ride or walk through the trails of the park with friends, family, and pets (on leash). You can also take advantage of touring the park by water in a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. Oleta River State Park even offers Paddle Board Yoga, where you can enjoy a combination of guided yoga, meditation, and intro paddle boarding.
